What was the highlight of Watermark Hotel & Spa Bali

Adequate stay for a young family.

Good location close to the airport. Aircon very good, there was a microwave, kettle, coffee machine. Felt pretty secure. Maintenance issue (leaking toilet, key card scanner stopped working) were dealt with promptly. Beds ok felt a little hard but had comfy sleep. Having 2 queen beds next to each other was great for our stay with a toddler. TV had YouTube Good to have a couch and table plus balcony. Breakfast was ok for the convenience of dining at the hotel. We just paid the days we wanted to have breakfast there. We tried all the cafes/restaurants and room service. The Japanese restaurant was the best. Room service wasn’t great, ordered a carbonara and the eggs had scrambled. The pizza was soggy and very greasy.

Not enough hooks to hang towels and hand towel. Placement of recess to hold toiletries was up high over the bath - a bit awkward. Don’t think you could get a really hot bath with how the water comes though. Not many supplies only 2 cups 2 mugs 2 teaspoons no tea towels or stuff to wash any dishes or toddlers drink bottle etc. The rug in the room was harsh for bare feet. Pool areas a little tired. Good to have a kids play area but it also was quite tired with some broken toys.

Everything you could need!

Perfect location to spend the night near the airport, two restaurants & a cafe. Wonderful departure lounge to spend time while waiting for the night flight. Two pools & a spa make for everything you need!

Great as close to the airport but felt like a very empty place, lacking the normal Bali vibes.

The room was excellent, very spacious! We loved the huge bed! The pool was good. The staff friendly and helpful.

The free breakfast buffet was terrible. Such a let down. The food was laid out in a very hot part of the restaurant. The property felt poorly maintained compared to other hotels. The gardens were sad looking.

Perfect location when you’re flying out, close the airport

The bed was huge and the suite rooms were so spacious

Our bathroom stunk, also the toilet flush kept playing up. But someone always attended to fix it asap.

A haven at a stressful time due to flight cancellation

Pools, helpful staff, comfortable and clean rooms all made our stay enjoyable. The rooms were a generous size.

The kettle in my room did not work but that is a very minor complaint which did not affect my experience which was overall excellent.

Wonderful

Roof top pool was very pleasant and it's open until 10 pm. The room is big and the bed was very comfortable. Location was very appreciated (20 minutes away from the airport by car).

You can hear a lot of different noises during evening/night if you're a "light sleeper". Some renovation details in the room (furniture) and in the pool area (some pool tiles were damaged) would elevate even more the quality of the hotel!

However we did enjoyed our 10 days of staying here!! Keep up the good service!!

What we like with this hotel is the bed is really huge and comfortable!!! As I have a little boy that super active the bed is perfect!! Never had this size before even in 5 stars hotel.

The only thing we didn’t like is the buffet breakfast. Not much choice for western, they should improve their menus. Almost the same things everyday.

Great hotel close to the airport and the beach

Great location, very close to the airport and only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Lots of restaurants to choose from along the beach. Really nice downstairs pool but also rooftop pool. Nicely decorated hotel with comfortable and modern rooms. Staff were helpful and friendly. Only ate at the cafe but food was very nice. Drinking water available in the room. We could use the facilities after checking out (bathrooms have showers) which was great due to a late flight.

Great value for money. Great room & attention to detail.

The beds were super comfy, great bathroom facilities. Loved that we had a couch and dining table rather than chairs. The balcony with the day bed and the table and chairs. Great room. Buffet breakfast was good. Great that there was a separate air conditioned dining room in Senses for breakfasts. Staff were helpful and friendly. Two pools, one on the rooftop. The air conditioned suite lounge was a nice touch with free snacks / hot drinks. Loved that there was a large water cooler in the room which saved us from having to buy a lot of water. And clean facilities!

Only one thing which is more feedback on maintenance - some of the floor boards on the rooftop pool, some were loose and not stable to walk on. Didn’t affect our stay - we enjoyed the facilities.

Wonderful

Great location for local eats at local prices. The staff at hotel were all very happy, friendly, polite and welcoming. Always ready to help as much as they could.

The only issue to complain about is the AC in the room wasn't very cold upon check-in but once we let reception know they sent a maintenance guy and after repairing the problem the AC ran at a chilly temperature for the rest of our stay. Perfect!

Disappointed, due to false impression of shape/size of hotel and pool.

The room was great, with a large sofa; the bathroom had a walk-in shower and a bath. We only used the shower where the water pressure was good. The downstairs pool, although a different shape than expected was also good: most days we were the only users. The adjacent Japanese restaurant was fair, meals were small and not cheap.

The photos supplied to Booking.Com did not reflect the actual shape and size of the hotel and pool. The breakfast was below expectation, so were the meals at both restaurants.

Wonderful

Chose this hotel for the local eats, many different options all within walking distance. The staff were absolutely great, very friendly and welcoming, and also happy to interact with our kids. Room was a very good size, bathroom was nicely laid out. Beds comfortable with nice pillows and cold AC. 2 pools were nice but water temp was like a warm bath. Still enjoyed it, especially first thing after breakfast while it was at its coolest. Breakfast buffet was nice, fresh breads & pastries, salad & fruit selection, pasta, Asian dishes with some daily changes to the local selection.

The busy road was quite noisy and could be heard untill late at night.
